Days 288-293: Delhi & Agra

January 14th, 2006

Delhi, Agra, Fatehpur Sikri

Garbage and Grandeur. The juxtaposition of filth and fantastic monuments makes Delhi and Agra remarkable places to visit. Not our most fascinating entry, but the monuments can speak for themselves.

Days 280-287: West Bengal and almost Bhutan

January 6th, 2006

Darjeeling, Siliguri, Madarihat, Jaigaon, and almost Phuentsholing

Many travellers had told us how tough it is to travel in India. So we were pleasantly surprised to find out it wasn’t that bad after all. In fact, with the exception of constant deafening noise, it’s actually incredibly pleasant. We also got kicked out of our first country.

Days 258-264: Annapurna Circuit Trek, part 3

December 14th, 2005

Days 233-236: Lhasa

November 11th, 2005

Days 212-222: China, part 1

October 23rd, 2005

Yangshou, Beijing, Pingyao

We left the chaos of Vietnam for the relative tranquility of China. This is ironic because there about 1.3 billion (yes, with a ‘b’) people here, and that’s not even including the foreign tourists.
