Singapore and Malaysia

sing.jpgSingapore lives up to the effecient reputation that it has – everything is quite orderly and there’s a very controlled chaos that happens here. It’s not as spic-and-span as I had heard and I was j-walking along with the locals at every possible opportunity. But it is a very easy city to navigate, get food, and sight-see. The photo is an art-deco style building that was right across the street from our hotel.

Jan flew in and met me here – it was good to see someone from back home!

We took the train to Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia – and we were able to observe a side of the country that would be hard to see otherwise. We took a quick stop in KL and took the metro to the city center to see the Petronas Towers: Outer space meets Asia. It’s quite the impressive structure. It was closed to the public however and we weren’t able to see the city from the towers. Quite unfortunate.
