Is this Asia? Nop, this is Hong Kong!
Crossing inmigration gave me a funny feeling. Was I or was I not in China? I mean the signs are still written in chinese, I´m boarding a chinese train, full of chinese of course, where the food I ate was defentely chinese. Am I being tricked? I though. The answer though, hit me in the face the second I put a foot on the ground: Hong Kong is defenetely not China!
Did that policeman just give directions in english? I can´t belive this!! This has to be another place different than China 🙂 Clean streets with signs with SPIT FORBIDDEN, and overpriced accommodation, welcomed me to Hong Kong.
The city is fabulous. Skyscrapers everywhere, neon lights and Hong Kong dollars are just an entrée. Every night at 8 o´clock, the buildings besides the sea start to perform a show where music and lights are the main protagonists. A must see for anyone visiting Hong Kong, as getting to the Victoria peak to enjoy the beautiful view over the city
My pal Bruce and I
Hong Kong was ruled by England for a long time and you can easily tell by the style of the buildings, the trams and the side of the street they drive, thank God they remind you about it
And now to finish let me tell you about THE highlight of this few days: Disneyland Hong Kong! jajajaja it was the best thing I´ve done in a long time. I´m a big fan of Disneyland and I turn into a 5 year old boy in a second. We got there before they opened, manage to be the first in one of the rides (has anyone been the first in Disneyland, ah ah??) did the whole park, including the Lion King´s musical twice, watched the parade and then to finished the day at 21:00 we saw the beautiful fireworks on top of the castle! It was pure magic 🙂
Hong kong it´s an amazing city and I hope I can go back someday, also a highlight of those days for me was taht I finally bought a new lens for my camera! it took us a whole day of going shop after shop under the rain, but I got it in the end: Canon 17-85 mm IS USM, it´s a babe!!
Ok people have to move now,
lots of love and stay tunned ´cause we´ll start a new phase very soon
till then, see ya!
simon =)
Lunch, no more noodles please!!!
We found this sign outside of a pharmacy on bar street, please read what it says!! Banana becomes cucumber!! jajajajajajajajaja what else do you need? 🙂
