Lifetime Supporter!

Sunday, October 16th, 2005

I’d also like to acknowledge Jim Buckley, for all of his generous contributions for Himalayan Healers.

Jim has given his support both emotionally and financially. His belief in the project and positive reinforcement has been invaluable to the morale of Himalayan Healers (me and Rob).

He’s also given in-kind gifts, such as a new laptop for Rob and buying the server space for Himalayan Healers, for a couple of years. He’s also helped by driving his car that he lent to Rob when we lived in Ojai back to Grand Junction, Colorado, where Jim lives with his wife Cheryl.

He is not only a lifetime supporter, he’s also the father of Rob.

So thank you Jim for all of your invaluable help. It’s meant a great deal to the both of us and we could not have gotten this far without your help.

FIRST DONOR!!!

Sunday, October 16th, 2005

Rob and I were walking through Thamel a few days ago, and ran into a crazy Irish chap. He met this Irishman last year, he supports a local orphanage here, sponsors a couple of children. He comes every year on holiday to donate money and to visit the children.

He prefers to keep anonymous, so I’ll call him the Irish Fellow. We sat down and had breakfast with the Irish Fellow, and Rob updated him on what we were up to in Nepal. The Irish Fellow has a generous heart, and loves Nepal. He offered to sponsor one student, by giving $1000 USD in January. Apparently, that’s when the IRA gives out pensions. hahhaha. Just a bit of humor. He’s also a comedien and I got to hear his hilarious bits as he fought off the bees that wanted to eat his honey roll.

So, we have our first donor! That’s our first Silver sponsorship package. Our silver sponsorship package is set of six exclusive Sharmila Mali photograph prints, singing bowl, and Trikaal world-music CD, along with listing on our website as a supporter, and letter of appreciation.
