Delhi revisited

The trip down to Delhi was on a nice banger bus again. I even had to reconstuct the seat before I sat down, still it was more pleasant than the mountain buses, but unfortunately much more oven like.

The plains are hot and pretty harsh, and along side the roads were mounds of cow muck being dried for fuel in the winters. Apart from some factories, that’s really it. The journey was pretty hard going, we stopped once, and arrived in Delhi fairly late. I stayed on Main bazaar in Pahar Ganj again, which at 45 degrees (down to 35 at night) was so hot that even the tour touts have given up and left for the summer. This made it much more pleasant than in March. I didn’t do anything cultural on the day I stayed, mainly sleeping and eating in Sam’s cafe at my hotel… not many people go to Delhi to relax…
