Bacon? Wine?
Just north of Adelaide is the famous Barossa Valley home to many wineries, including that of Jacob’s Creek, everyones favourite Special Offer wine in Tescos.
The Groovy Grape wine tour bus takes us out through the hills past the Giant Rocking Horse (one of Australia’s BIG things), and the Whispering Wall before the serious business of learning how to make up wine tasting notes.
We do four wineries, two large and two small. It’s quite interesting… to try and work out how on earth they come up with the tasting notes! We have a tasting description sheet- one of the descriptions that could be applied to wine is Bacon- now that would be interesting.
Lots of whites, reds and roses to try, and after 4 wineries we realised why they suggest you don’t drink every glass.
Though at this point we do manage to finally come up with some interesting descriptions, perhaps that really is how they do it?
