Ok.. its not so bad
We just wanted to add a little disclaimer to our last post. Today was our first sunny day here and we realized… its not so bad. Last night we got to a wonderful little town called Pandang Bai. This morning when we woke up and the sun was shining, we realized the beach was beautiful white sand and the water was crystal clear tourquoise. We hired a boat and went out and did some great snorkeling.. thats when the realization hit us. Later in the day we returned to Kuta and saw that now that the storms had passed, the beach was actually kinda cleaned up. We take back SOME of what we said.
Just a few stories we forgot to mention.
When we were sitting at dinner in Amed something started dripping on our table. We looked around trying to figure out what it was. We assumed it was a leak in the bamboo roof….. Nope. They have these huge over sized gecko like animals here and it was up on the ceiling peeing on us. Too Funny!!!
Also… Todd likes Tempe. He not only likes it…. he even orders it. Won’t be long before he’s hanging out with dreadlocks in front of the healthfood store!!

Yeah, hi…have you forgotten India so quickly? I would think Bali would be a vast improvement. And Todd likes Tempe? I thought you were travelling around the world and the whole time you’ve been in Arizona????? I know you couldn’t be referring to tempeh, the crap I used to douse with liquid smoke and fry in a pan calling it “bacon”
My Toddie wouldn’t be ingesting that!
PS—sun predicted for the whole entire week in Portland 🙂
xoxoxo
Toddy will definately be hanging out in front of the healthfood stores when he gets back to Maui. WHat else does he have to do? With his busy days filled with “working” on his tan, playing in waterfalls, frightening tourists, drinking beer, and…umm…ummm…help me out here, what else could Todd possibly do in Hana. Oh yeah, that’s right, sit on his ass all day long. The good life.
Tell Hasegawas to send me a 6-pack of Mirror Pond, a Lunchable, some candy, 8 ft. of PVC pipe, 3 foot of rubber strap, a T-shirt, slippers, Spam masubi, playing cards, light bulbs, fresh papaya, toothpaste, hair dye (dirty-blonde), peppered beef jerky, DVD, romance novel, zig-zags, and some FUNYONS!!! (General Store in Hana, the ONLY store in Hana. For all the underpriveledged that have not experienced its greatness, you are missing out!)
B-MAN out!
And to think I have just returned from a lowly trip to San Diego and Oahu…… Fortunately, I did not even have to take a passport much less have to put it down my pants!!!! Thank God for no babies!!!!! I am yet toooo young…… And yes, Jenny, this was bordering on TMI for the future MIL. Do you think they are still engaged???????
Our basement in Martinsville is running out of room. Maybe we should have a yard sale with all Todd and Lisa’s wordly possessions. I am wondering if they will ever get a normal life.
I really had a lot of catching up to do. Please Todd, try to stay away from the law. Some of us miss you’ll and would like to see your faces again. And Ivan, I am envious of your trip. Andy and Adrienne have cut my travels short.
Looking forward to more good reads!!!
Luv Ya,
Momma Cece
Don’t know where that comment by my name came from!!!! A ghost or maybe the “Bitch”.
Hope ya’ll are doing well…Bali sounds much better than the blizzard we are having here!
much love,
Amy
Your map shows you two still in India. I guess all that beach life and tempe has gotten to you so much that you’ve forgotten all about your blog, and those of us sods out here still working every day.
Can’t wait to see you tan and dirty-blond hair-died kids!
Love,
Momma J.
Hi guys!
We are trapped under 20 or so inches of snow… the second biggest snowfall in NY history. This may be the final push for me to get serious about moving to SF! I bet you are really missing the East Coast US these days 🙂
Stay safe, miss you-
How about some more stories and pics to rub in our frozen faces?
Here is a shout out to my man Toddi in Bali. Since I know you can’t request it on their radio stations, and your iPod is a piece of sh*t, I am playing it for you right now…
“I Need Love”, by the one and only greatest, LLCoolJ (Ladies Love Cool Todd is what it should mean)
If you weren’t there to see Big T kereoke (don’t know how to spell) to this song, well you just missed out. You will have to catch him when he does his American tour. Good times had by all.
Well Happy VD everybody. And on this special day, ask yourself, “Don’t we all need love?”

Happy Valentines Day! Got back from 10 days in India and finally had a chance to catch up on your travels. So jealous I can’t meet up with you all in Australia. Your stories are fabulous….are there any quiet moments? Love, Aunt Susie
I think all the snow got people to send you lots of messages! Great to hear from everyone! We’ll be sending you all updates when we get to Oz-land, in just 3 weeks!
Cece, I just brought 10 boxes down to Charlottesville, belong to L&T. Your basement is full? Kids, time to come back and clear out our houses!! I have more to bring, and it’s not making me popular with my son and daughter-in-law.
Love you, stay safe,
MJ
Enjoying the blog and your photos are fantastic! If all else fails, careers in photography are definitely possibilities.
