Pete at www.canoathrills.com came to Ecuador with his wife and never left the beach! They bought a bar called the Surf Shak and now have contacts and are property managers, have a outdoor recreation business, and can give you information about surfing, volunteering, and living in Canoa. They also take volunteers at the bar from time to time if you want to spend your time there living rent free for a few shifts a week behind the bar!
