Got a job
Monday, November 13th, 2006So after meeting a guy on a train who had a friend in Seattle that I am now helping remodel his house I began to find places to work in Seattle after the job is done.
It turns out that Seattle restaurants are like other places restaurants and they want you to go by their time and not the time that you would like to go on. So after interviewing and then waiting for people to wake up and call me I found a cruise line that needed help.
I actually blew off the first interview since it sounded like the run of the mill seasonal hiring and I didn’t think that was worth going for. But then they contacted me again and I ran off to the interview after work.
It turned out to be a good thing with a guy running it that used to live in Colorado and who actually cared about his people. So I am now about to work three hour dinner cruises through the holidays and if it goes well then keep on going.
