They’re strippers! Look at how hot they are!
Ah – Arrested Development – why did you have to go away?
Well I got up earlier, but still not early enough. I’m plotting an attack on bookstores at the moment, although I’m going to wait till Monday to pass out resumes. I’m mapping all the bookstores in Christchurch. That and trying to watch the Daily Show (though it keeps freezing), emailing, reading gofug and ew, and looking up BBC miniseries.
This is where my new apartment will be. If you adjust the page you can see that isn’t too far to city center. I think it’ll be better than living in Riccarton. Really.
Did you know that at lambing time, the sheep:people ratio in NZ is 35:1. True. I have to go rent Black Sheep.
Siskel and Ebert clips going up. Watch the uncensored clip on youtube. Rawr! (I love that they only start agreeing when they begin attacking protestants).
I like that when a woman writes a birthday note about Kevin Smith, it ends up being about Timothy Olyphant.
The Ten is getting mixed reviews; which isn’t surprising for a compilation of short films. It’s bound to be a bit uneven. Me? I’d go see it for Michael Ian Black and Michael Showalter (hey! Rob Corddry’s in it! Yay Daily Show!). Too bad Chris Meloni doesn’t return. His bit in Wet Hot American Summer is one of my favorite movie roles, ever.
Trailers: the Kingdom (Jason Bateman in a serious role! and chris cooper), I want someone to eat cheese with (ok – awesome title and Sarah Silverman and Amy Sedaris and it looks funny (yay second city!)), from sundance: the nines (which was written and directed by the guy who wrote both Big Fish and Go; one of my all-time-favorite films), Rendition (hello, Jake Gyllenhaal).
musica: back to black – amy winehouse, she builds quick machines – velvet revolver, affliction, missing frame – AFI, drunken lullabies – flogging molly
