Christchurch!
I got in safe and sound (customs in Auckland was an absolute breeze. THe Aussies were very weird about the whole thing). So I made my connection without any problem. Oh – and Air New Zealand is great. The friendliest crew I have ever encountered (one of the flight attendants moved me up to business class during descent to help me make my next flight).
Met a very nice kiwi in the shuttle. From what I could see at night, the city looks charming. Staying in an adorable backpackers that bakes fresh bread for breakfast. Off to the city to change my sim card, print out my resume, and visit the tax office (plus find my way around). I’m going to call in on another temp agency to see if they’re more helpful than Kelly. And call Peter to set up a time to see the apartment.
