Lunch – Friends – Sun !
Today our friends invited us over for lunch. We didn’t come empty handed; we had purchased flowers for them. When we are arrived at their front door, they let us in and we handed the flowers to their mom. Alexa and I ran to their back yard to play with Jarrod and Kelsey while waiting for lunch to be finished. We sat down and ate a most appetizing meal of salad, chicken fingers, BBQ kabobs, baguette and large strawberries.
After lunch we played a made up game called Bang. In the game there are two teams which each have two players and a team name. Each person has ten lives, which they can give to their teammate or keep for themselves. If the other team finds all of your bases, you lose and in our case Connor and Jarrod’s team lost.
After playing Bang we went further into their backyard, or should I say, to the back of their backyard and through a fence down to a stream. The stream had lots of rocks around and in it and it was very narrow. Jarrod, Kelsey, and Alexa went up the stream to a small waterfall, but I stayed behind because the water was too cold for my feet. When they got back, Jarrod and I carved boats out of pieces of wood, while the girls pet the dogs. After that, we said our good-byes, and went home for the day. My boat is on my windowsill where it can dry in the sun – if we ever get any.
