March 05, 2005I need to start booking
I need to start booking my transportation for my trip. I'll fly into Madrid at 9:30 and pretty much have the day to explore the city until having to board a sleeper to Algeciras. This website (http://www.renfe.es/ingles/) is confusing the heck out of me. The terms are so strange to me and I can't seem to figure out how to just book a one-way trip. I will probably do one-way and then fly back at the end of my week, that way I don't have to spent a full 2 days just getting back to Madrid to catch my flight. This will leave my optoins open as far as exploring outside of Marrakesh and Fes. The ferry ticket from Algeciras to Tangier can be purchased the day of, as well as the overnight train from Tangier to Marrakesh. I'll be staying at Hotel Ali near the Djamâa El Fna Square which is the culture center of Marrakesh. I am excited about this opportunity. I have been refered to Hotel Ali by many travelers who have been before and say it is a great place to start off at for your first time in Marrakesh. The woman that runs it is apparently a little wacky so we'll see how it goes! Comments
