September 07, 2004The planning begins
So, I made my first deposit into my savings account for my SE Asia 2005 trip. I figured out if I can save $150 from each paycheck from now until when I leave it will work out well. I still plan on selling my DJ'ing equipment and some other stuff on ebay so I can pay for the ticket. I don't need all of this stuff anymore and its taking up space. I could spend the money much more fulfillingly now. So far my grand total is... a whopping $200 I expect that number to rise rapidly. I've cut back on spending so much lately and I actually get upset at myself when I purchase something I don't need. I have done a good job at not eating out at restuarants and politely declining to go out when invited. Driving less often means less money on gas and instead of buying books to read I just spend an hour or 2 at Border's. I'm considering doing this Ebay thing that my brother discussed. Actually selling items from a store in Centro Ybor and taking 50% of the profit. If I can get the ball rolling on that it could be a nice little extra fund for the trip.
