November 23, 2004On to Other Things
Okay, so I left the island of Corfu early (early!) yesterday morning, headed to mainland Greece through a place called Meteora. Metora was really cool, there were these amazing, monstrosity rock formations (reminded me of Garden of the Gods in Colorado) with monestaries built on the tops. It was so beautiful and we actually got to tour through some of the monestaries. It was funny because we had to put on skirts (they had them available, free of rent, at the front doors) over our jeans in order to be allowed in. Anyway, the place was amazingly beautiful and we did a lot of climbing and I was in bed asleep last night by like 6:00 PM.... there was no heat in the hotel and it was below freezing... but we had lots of blankets and the Tylonol PM didn't hurt.
