August 19, 2004Courage?
A lot of people have commented on how "brave" or "courageous" I am to take this trip, and I nod along, but in the back of my head I often think "I don't know about brave... I'm scared to death!" I saw an interesting quote today about courage that I thought summed it all up perfectly: Courage is being scared to death... and saddling up anyway. ~John Wayne Considering how much crap ends up on the Internet, I know it's very possible that this isn't exactly what John Wayne said, or even that he didn't say it at all, but I like it anyway.
