Luxury Journeys

Hitting a new currency where you don't truly understand the exchange rate is a great way to spend a fortune while smiling like a goon at all your cable tv channels. And that’s where we found ourselves in La Ceiba, Honduras. Turns out it wasn't as expensive as the suchitoto cupboard we'd stayed in a few days earlier, and after the 9 hours of bus rides from San Salvador to La Ceiba we really needed somewhere nice to crash. We went out to grab a pizza takeaway and ran back to our room to stuff our faces while watching all the greats - oc, sex and the city, seinfield... So we don't have much to say about the town of La Ceiba, apart from that I had a great time there!
In the morning we got packed up and continuing with the luxury theme had a taxi waiting for us to take us to the pier. Got the Galaxy II across to the island off Roatan. It’s very beautiful here and super friendly too. Lots of people on their two/three week vacation from america and so the prices for meals and drinks reflect that and are kinda high. But anyhoo, we're booked into a really nice room with a kitchen for tomorrow so HA! to all restaurants and their $10 pizzas!
