Still here....

Just spotted the deliberate mistake, el savador...the missing L has been recovered...who put the L in El SaLvador forgot to tell me in my lapse....We are still here and it gets better, we are now in Suchitoto which is north of San Salvador, a lot higher but still very warm. We finally left the coast which was hard to do as it was so nice and friendly compared to the experience of San Salvador when we arrived a few weeks ago now. But even San Salvador seemed really mellow now i´ve got used to being here. We did just pass through but the 2 bus terminals we visited on our journey were fine, very hectic and crowded and dangerous to walk through with all our stuff because of all the flying metal of the 50 buses taking off from all directions but a pretty exciting place. We went from El Sunzal to La Libertad to San Salvador terminal Occidente accross town to Terminal Oriente to La Palma which is quite close to the border with Honduras, up in the mountains of Northern El Salvador....its a windswept place, real hot still but not quite hot enough for the mosquitos we had in El Sunzal....plenty of insect life in the room though, the picnic we had in our room of crisps and cheese cobs left a few bits of tortilla chips and bread on the floor which we watched being carried off later by the hungry ants, watched by the moth with a 6 inch wingspan and cheered on by the couple of spiders and an unnamed insect which was half spider and half cockroach it seemed...la cucarracha have up until now kept mainly under cover but who knows....anyway La Palma was pretty nice for a night, we checked out the murals which have turned the town into one of El Salvadors few tourist spots, we being two of the minimal torists in town that night, perhaps even the only ones. They are ready though, a small artists market and a good few shops all recreating the vivid art that has made the town semi famous on all kinds of usefull items from crosses to toilet roll holders, we wandered around for a while but the wind and the power faliure finally got the better of us and we retired to our hotel room which again was immense....and ready for a large influx of visitors which wasn´t arriving tonight....we had the place to ourselves....the morning was chicken bus followed by chicken bus followed by more chicken bus and we got to Suchitoto...half way back to San Salvador and it is here we are going to spend the next couple of days...more about that in hopefully less than the next 10 days, a few pictures aswell i hope..........................
