Ok, coolish. Today was an interesting day, I slept in yet again and missed the tour I was hoping to catch. Not to be thrawted by such miniscule things, I headed towards a 1230 tour starting in the East side. That was a sham, I seriously was right in front of the place listed for a half hour yet no one was there. Perhaps I had a dated flier or something. Regardless, and again not to be easily deterred, I hit the streets of Berlin by foot. I walked all over the much more fun side of Berlin, the EAST, today traveling to the Reichstag and seeing where it is that the German Parliament conduct business. Good plus, it twas free! After that, I got lost a bit and wound up near Potsdamer Platz. Quite coincidentally, I walked right into the German premiere of Batman Begins, with the red carpet and everything. And, by talking with a German so you must understand how unreliable my info might be since my German is so bad, it seems that Christian Bale and the whole cast are in Berlin tonight! coolish. So I thought about just hanging out there and seeing the stars, however that doesnt interest me. I might catch the 1201 showing of Batman though............So I moved on and went to the Gemäldgalerie (an awesome art museum) and that was ok, I dont think anything compares after seeing Rome. Im sorry to see this, but Im spoiled as far as art goes. So here I am in now, in a humid internet cafe writing this. Im heading back to the hostel to have a few drinks with some Americans I met today whom are also backpacking and staying in the same room.
