Day 2 München

I am still jet lagged as hell. So I decided to sleep in and spend the day walking around and searching for black socks. Which by the way was suprisingly difficult since Europe doesn´t have stores like Wal Mart or anything.

I am continously amazed by the amount of stuff I absorb in a single day. Like the past 24 hours for instance. The night before I come back to my room to find a gang of drunken Slovenians offering me a beer and asking in broken English how the pistons game turned out. And then I went down to the hostel bar, which by the way was packed with people on a Wednesday night. It was awesome, I walked up and started talking to people and met this crazy dude from Sri Lanka whom introduced me to a bunch of Frauleins and some German friends of his. Unfortunately, the girls werent very interested in me which doesnt suprise me since it was an American bar so to speak and they were seeking rich people or something. But that doesnt even matter, I didnt travel half way across the Earth to hook up with chicks. Im here to have an awesome time. And I most certainly am. To add to that I frequently practice my Deutsch with any locals, such as when I bought my lunch today. Instead of being a little B, I decided to venture to the "Viktualien Markt" where I had to haggle prices in German with local merchants to buy mein Fleisch, Käse, Obst, und Brötchen. Thats meat, cheese, fruit, and bread rolls respectively. I had a blast, some people I speak too primarily old people, dont speak any English at all. So it gets really interesting.

So what I am trying to explain is that being completely independent in a foreign country is a real eye opener. I find every little thing, even sitting in the LAN cafe right now searching for a freaking parenthesis, a challenge. And this makes travel that much more fun, if it was easy you might as well stay home.

Take care everyone,
Jimmy
