Aaah, the Pyramids! This is what I’ve been waiting for. Waking up early, without a good nights rest, grabbing a cab with back windows that don’t roll down, traffic along the whole way, a cab driver that doesn’t know how to pass up other cars and buses, traffic with pollution, and tons and tons of sun to burn your skin into some fresh saganaki! Great, right?

Now that we’ve seen the Islamic side of Cairo, it is our turn to view the Coptic side of Cairo. Coptic refers to the Christianity religion in Egypt. Coptic Cairo is the oldest part of the city. Now….after a long day of bargaining, we needed sleep…lots of sleep. It is seriously tiring…trying to speak to people who really don’t know you’re language, bargaining with them (walking away all the time) and carrying a bunch of goodies from place to place, it’s a work out and a half, not to mention that I also got some kind of stomach bug since the first couple of days, and I haven’t been the same since (know what I mean?).....

Not that I'm scared to be American, i just think that with all the beheadings going on in the middle east, this might be the way to go...eh?
So, our friend Nageeb had a 4th of july party for American's at the American University of Cairo...very simple, BBQ, games for the kids, live band playing Steeley Dan, Aretha Franklin, James Brown and the late Ray Charles. Very cool atmosphere i mus admit, but at first, i didn't want to go...
I would've rather have stayed home and not exposed myself as a full blood american...just as a greek...but all went well.

Okay...so it's a sappy entry title, but it's the truth...anabahebic means "I Love you", not that I've been saying it to a lot of people, but you'd be surprised how many female heads it turns...especially from one cool crazy guy like`a me!

Okay, so just how much can you do in 24 hours? A lot…I mean a hell of a lot.
For starters, we got in around 1:30 AM, Monday, Cairo time…and that was from a long flight that started on Saturday around 5:00 PM, so we’ve been up pretty much a long time…once we got to Mazen’s apt, we slept…probably until 2 in the afternoon….but after that, Mono and I decided to go around town and check some things out. In case you don’t know, Mono my boy who came with me on this trip…

So we got to the airport on time...not like our previous year, right on the second before take off...our flight was good...long, but good, and our trip in Amsterdam was okay...just enough to walk around, see some locals, and then move on to our final destination...here's me with a couple of natives who just really needed to be in the picture (note how they bombarded the photo)
