Amsterdam

So we got to the airport on time...not like our previous year, right on the second before take off...our flight was good...long, but good, and our trip in Amsterdam was okay...just enough to walk around, see some locals, and then move on to our final destination...here's me with a couple of natives who just really needed to be in the picture (note how they bombarded the photo)

We stopped in a local bar (8:30 am) and met Fred and James from the army...both from the states...we chatted about old times in chicago, and new times around the world...very cool guys...another picture included is a dollar bill we all posted up...the owner of the bar has people from all over the place put up a signed dollar bill, Us or foreign...he's probably got over 500...maybe even more...it's early, and it's not too great flying to another continent when you haven't slept in over 24 hrs....

there's a couple more pictures of amsterdam, drinking beers, some locals...no prostitutes or anything like that...we don't need any sour notes on our trip, just good friends getting a bit drunk before another long flight....

one thing wierd we did do, and jon kulpit can vouch for this, was we stayed in a hotel for three hours, just to get some sleep in the middle of the flights. it was a little pricey, but the sleep was well worth it.

Another scene in here is just the everyday traffic...there are bus lanes, tram lanes (their equivalent of trains or the chicago L), bike lanes and car lanes all on one street, and..everyone is walking around it at the same time

Amsterdam is a very beautiful city. Although it is known for its level of drug use and prostitution, it has a huge history and some exquisite museums (Van Gogh...Rembrandt) it is one of the worlds biggest exporter of Tulips (ladies...eh eh?) and, literally all the people are in shape, or active...not too much obesity, and the woman are very beautiful....ahh, a true peice of art work...

i can't hook up any pictures yet...why, i don't know...i'm kinda upset by it, but maybe when i come back to chicago, i can make something work...take care everyone and wait for the next egypt entry.!!!!
