Morning Campers!!!

We have survived two nights under canvas so far and the one word which keeps screaming in my head is WHY??? Why would anyone want to sleep in what resembles a large, complicated plastic bag? We arrived at the first camp site late, in the dark and in the rain and the temperature made Bermuda seem like a cold spell (we’re at the coast in Peru). However, after a brief training session we are now experts in tent construction and we are currently camped on a beach with dolphins swimming past.

The group we are traveling with are all gringo, hippy dropouts so we fit right in. There’s even someone here who used to work in Bermuda! – you just can’t escape the place!!

This internet cafe we are in is interesting – the walls are made of bamboo, the roof is corrugated tin and the keyboard is full of sand (the keys grind and stick!). We’re off to the jungle in a few days and have already been warned about THAT fish that swims in the Amazon (there’ll be no peeing in the river).

Hi Guys ; Thanks for blogging. It is interesting reading; Market is still strong but too many listings; signs that people aall want to Max out their investments. I don’t have any prediction of m next years prices but we should stay strong with ups and downs.

Sounds like you’ll be too scared to pee at all, let alone in the river!

You seem to be having an interesting if somewhat cold time just now. I’d love to see the dolphins but I think Icould forgo the p**** fish. You’ll look back on this adventure as the most exciting time of your life, I’m sure. I think I’d might just prefer our cruise to Greece in July. Mum

    Hi Rob and Dulcie,

Been reading your blog with great interest – very funny. Seems like you are having the adventure you always wanted.

We think we saw your apartment being built in Vancouver. Nutan and kids were impressed by the city (I already am, as you know), which may be bad news for you two when we decide to move on from here!

Looking forward to the next post…

Greetings, Les Smiths. Joe “Filth” Bidgood ‘ere.
You can blame Dave “Senor Widdle” Shaw for pointing me in this direction – he told me about your intention to go gallumphing round Sarf ‘Merika and gave me the url for this site.
I must admit, this site is a much easier way of keeping track of your progress – up until now I’ve simply been using the BBC site to track outbreaks of civil unrest, riots and so forth 🙂
Congrats to you both. You’re completely barking, of course, and I’m envious as hell. I shall follow your progress with interest.
(Although I am firmly convinced that the whle thing will be a doddle – surely there exists in South America no problem that cannot be solved by either Rob taking it apart, or Dulcie raising an eyebrow at it.)

Hmm. This thing thinks I’m posting from Spain: I’m pretty sure I’m not.
Hurrah for dodgy IP lookups 🙂

Rob, did Dave stumble into the wrong site….surely he should be writing for The Vancouver Property Post although I think it’s still vitally important to keep up to date with the rise and fall of the market: especially when you’re up to you’re a*** in mud.

PS The PSB might be resolved any day now; the tension is almost keeping me awake.
