I got a visa on arrival, but like this post explains, its a little bit dodgy. If whatever country your from allows you to get a VOA then make sure you have some official looking info from an embassy website/emails as back up. You can only get VOA when you fly in, so you’ll need […]

Hi- yeah spelling is not so good on this blog- for the most part I am quickly banging these blog posts out in some strange country in a dodgy internet cafe with a weird keyboard and a computer set to chinese characters that puts squiggly red lines underneath every single word. I’m not really one […]

When I tell people I am from the southern hemisphere, one of the first things they always ask is “you have Christmas in the summer right? Weird…” Well no actually, not that weird, lots of people have Christmas in the summer, just not Europe, or America so not really the important places…or the ones that […]

After another crazy summer across Poland, Isle of Man, Scotland, Spain, Belgium and the UK it is time to settle down for the time being in the lovely city of Leiden, in the Netherlands. I will attempt to write a bit about my journey as a foreigner here trying to make sense of a new […]

The 80 hour train ride from Tehran to Istanbul involved a lot more that just sitting on the train. We had heroin smugglers, drug dealers, long border crossings, 2am ferry rides, and of course getting left behind in the middle of Turkey. The bus takes 40 hours, and despite the very long, slow train I […]

Before Tehran the politics of the country seemed more like a pain in the ass than actual reality, however in Tehran you are reminded that the government are in fact a little crazy. If you have read any information about Iran you will realise they are not so good at foreign relations. Clearly no one has […]

Going to Spain for the last 2 months of work was a sweet way to finish off the season. Warm, cheap and awesome. 5 of us headed down to Spain, driving to Portsmouth then a painful 35 hour ferry to Bilbao and another long drive down to our first job. We did two festivals, one in […]

After a month in the beautiful Denmark at Roskilde in the sun coming back to England was a bit average. After the 2 days drive/ferry we rocked back to our base and spent the week cleaning tents in the rain. Cold rain. Goodbye summer.
