Chilling in Uruguay
Friday, February 29th, 2008So I went to Uruguay. The way Lonely Planet opens it’s chapter on one place, Punta Del Este, is “Ok, here’s the plan: wax it, buff it at the gym and then plonk it on the beach“. And how right they were. So, I may not have followed their instructions but I did have a sun filled few days at what is known as South America’s St. Tropez.
People in Uruguay are unbelievably friendly. Myself and an Austrian girl were trying to make our way through town with a guidebook, and every time we stopped for more than 5 seconds someone would come over offering help! [read on]
