Ottawa to Paris…

I’ve arrived! In what seems to be a surreal dream, I’m writing this post from a beautiful flat overlooking a gorgeous little Parisian street. After a thankfully uneventful flight from Montreal, I woke up to a very foggy Paris. Thankfully, the clouds cleared by the afternoon, and I spent a lovely day one of my big adventure.

I’m fading quickly, as a very full day of walking EVERYWHERE, coupled with sleeping sitting up and an overload of tasty sweet  breads, is hitting me hard. So I will have to be very brief.

Today I had a very long walking tour with my in-house tour guide and host. I saw the Tour Eiffel, the Champs Elysees, more churches than I can remember, many beautiful fountains, and a bunch of very tasty breads that made their way to my mouth.

I’m about to sit down to dinner and I’m already the rude guest by not helping out, so much more later!!

If I pass out before I make it to the computer again, I must remember to pick up at “my brain’s limited capacity for historical details.”
