More news from Darwin

Hi
We had a lazy day yesterday recovering fromour flights to Oz. But we did book a tour to Alice Springs and Uluru which will take about a week. And we are looking into hiring a car to drive from Darwin to perth when we get back from the outback. We went down to the narbour last night and saw some dolphins and suiqd swimming about. But again it was so quiet although there were lots of people there eating and drinking.

Hi katie and Ann, Rest assured i avidly read your blog, it takes me momentarily away from the humdrum, that is work and normal life. Had a fairly good summer despite the rains, and ended up in Kos for a couple of weeks just to get dry and warm. Got so pissed offd when I geo home after that i immediately set off for wasdale and took the boys up scafell and the pike and environs. Niall managed to fall and head butt the rock coming down the foxes tarn path, sillyu name didnt see a tarn at all, anyway i managed to catch his rucksac straps and save his good looks. Beautiful clear views, a great hostel at wast water nice walk along the lake screes and great beer of course. The trade off was that I had then to do a full day at pleasure beach blackpool. from the sublime… etc etc. Despite the crowds and queues We managed to enjoy hte adrenalin rushes. Back at work now running again after hamstring problems… old age creeps up ……… and started caneoing too. trying to morganise a sea kayaking trip around flamborough head in yorkshire. Did a starnge 3 mile race the other day. You might be amused by this image, it was the burghley horseless trials, where 60 or so mad idiots run around the cross country course after the horses have finished with it. It for charity but its over the horse jumps, climbing obviously , I know I’ve got long legs but…………… 3 water jumps which i ran through at full pelt and got very heavy feet as wel as soaked. I did not win.nrnrEnjoy your trip to the rocknrinsanely jealousnrdanny
