24th Birthday on the Farm

Hey from Mallorca! I just wanted to write a mass THANK YOU
to everybody who sent me birthday wishes! I had an amazing birthday.
This is how it went…
I awoke in my WOOFer trailer to the sweet smell of Kyle frying something up. She surprised me and made some vegan natural flour pancakes with loads of butter, cinnamon, and sugar! A total treat for me, since I’m used to eating TOTALLY HEALTHY since I got here. Then I picked some old lemons for a few hours since it was biodynamically a “non-picking-things-from-the-ground-day.” Fine. Any reason is fine for me to not blister up my hands with weeding for 5 hours. So that was nice.
Then lunch, mmmm delicious. Paul, a guy who also volunteers here and makes meals, cooked up some fine eats. Then, SURPRISE! Out pops Paul, a dark chocolate with raspberry jam cake, and candles! They sang, I wished, but didn’t get all the candles out with one blow. I was nervous! A table of farm workers staring me down!
The afternoon/evening consisted of playing lots of guitar, drinking red wine, and snacking while sitting around a campfire! Kyle made me a plate of goodies.
Some amazing conversations were had, and I feel all is right within the world! No birthday is complete without a thought about Bubbs… so Kyle and I attempted at writing a song in his honor, it didn’t go so well. 🙂 So, all in all, a great 24th birthday. THANK YOU friends, I miss you!
