Craig & Sam Down Under

Hello folks we have made it to Tokyo without a hitch. After an emotional time at the departure gate saying our goodbyes we chilled out with a starbucks. On the plane we met a nice ozzy, ate some sushi (sam too) and managed a couple of cheesey films and sleep before breakfast. Two hours after eating breakfast its 5:30 pm Tokyo local time so we were well confused. Its now 7pm and we are in a free internet cafe in what is the strangest airport in the world i am sure. The exchange counter give me a bigillion Yen for sixty quid, you have to take a supersonic shuttle to get anywhere, all the seats are like a settee and you can pay the chair to give you a massage. Its such a strange but intriguing place.
Well this was just a quick post before we go off and point and say wow at more things in the airport. Missing everyone already, love you all lots.

Hi everyone, here we are after the first of four qualifying dives we did last weekend, making us fully certified Open Water Scuba Divers! We had a great weekend camping out from Friday and diving all day Saturday and Sunday at Stoney Cove in Leicestershire, (check out the link on the right!).

We’re now looking forward to doing some dives in warmer waters off the Great Barrier Reef and finding Nemo. Thanks to Mum and Dad J and Mum and Dad T for our lovely new Dive computers and Merry Christmas to you too!

Only 2 days til departure now and we’re getting very excited 😀 (“and nervous after I made us go watch ‘Wolf Creek’ – a film about a backpacker serial killer last night” – Sam)

To both our families and all our friends, we’ll miss you lots! We’ll see you all in a year’s time, hopefully with lots to tell, so take care, keep watching and lots of love…

G’Day!

Hi guys, welcome to our Year-Out-In-Oz ‘blog’!

Having been planning this trip for about a year now, it’s only 2 weeks til D-day and we are very excited. Craig has done his last day at work today and said his fond farewells to the ladies in the oatcake shop! I’ve still got one last day to do 🙁 but then I’ll be totally unemployed for the first time in 5 years! Woohoo! There’s not much to report right now, but make sure you store this page in your internet ‘favourites’ and come back soon to see what we’re up to (I might have even managed to get some photos on here by then!)
