Senegal 2007/2008

Arrived in Dakar November 22st, after our fllght was delayed 4 hours. However, I quickly forgot the inconvenience when I was surprisingly seated in BUSINESS CLASS. What fantastic service.

The year ends in Senegal with a bang. Six days of weddings, Tabaski, and Christmas holidays. It has been absolutely wonderful. December and January seem to be the wedding months here, like May and June in the states.

Christmas Dinner

First Christmas holiday in Dakar. There’s singing, ambiance and good food.

Atlantic Ocean

Sunset and ebbtide in Bargny on the Atlantic ocean.

Looks like you were having fun! I’m at the Hampden Lib branch now – please come in for a visit if you’re ever in the neighborhood.

    Hi Cheryl,
Great hearing from you. So you’re back in the country? I have retired to Senegal and enjoying the new pace. I was in the states a week ago and visited the new Southeast Branch…quite nice. How was Hawaii?
I actually wanted to update this blog but forgot my password…getting older is no fun. Will contact you soon.

    Blessings
