Tana
(or as my keyboard wants to say: Tqnq – the letters are in whole new exciting positions – sorry for the typos). I am here and safe and sound which I guess is the main news. The language barrier: an issue, but Im working on it. AND I found a travel buddy! His name is Patrick, hes Canadian, he graduated last may and started traveling in Nov. What a coincidence is that? We think we will head south to Toliara tomorrow, then back to Tana and over to Ile St. Marie (pirate graves!) and to Mananara if the roads are ok (or at least I will) and to Antanafaritska (?) if there is time. But yay! Travel buddy (who speaks better french than I!) Other quick notes, Im excited about Mauritius; it looked gorgeous flying in. Rome in Easter was weird – very deserted but the bell ringers went nuts whenever they felt like it. Tana reminds me in many ways of South Africa. I’ll update whenever possible. LEMURS!
