RENT
Ok – saw this after posting the last entry. From Cinematical (Its about Rapp and Pascal returning to RENT 10 years on):
Rapp said after his return: “It feels like home.” While most of the costumes have changed over the last 10+ years, he wears “the same old coat, but new everything else.” For Pascal, fans were so happy to see him back on the stage that when he began to sing the wrong verse during the performance, “the entire audience laughed right along with him.”
Okay – I’ve never been a huge Rapp fan (Trey Ellett was the best Mark EVER!) But – what? The costumes have changed? In what way? I know they changed Mimi’s outfit for the Japanese tour, but the last time I saw RENT, about 5 years after my total RENThead-edness, I didn’t notice the costumes had changed…
In honor of all things RENT related; check out this early Out Tonight clip (early choreography and all). (I also like how the poster says; if I see one Rosario vs. Daphne comment on here I will TURN COMMENTS OFF!) (I will turn this internet around!). Ooh – better yet: the 10th anniversary clips (featuring the OBC). Daphne is so clearly better (she just had a baby in that last clip!). I like how she has to wear the giraffe skin boots, because they lock to the set bar. For fair treatment: Rosario. (One of my several issues with the movie: if you’re going to show the cat scratch club; it isn’t a strip joint. It’s an S&M club. Honestly. Get it right, Chris Columbus.)
Oh – and another thing. I’d kill to see Adam Pascal live, but… aren’t they a teensy bit old to be playing 20-somethings?
