AND – for about 2 years, I’ve been trying to remember this book that I loved as a child. My brother figured it out (Yay Ross!): The island of skog by Steven Kellogg (http://www.amazon.com/gp/reader/0140546499/ref=sib_dp_pt/002-9866615-8976066#reader-link). And its Penguin! Yay Emily!
