Departure Day
Since our flight doesn’t leave until 10pm this evening we have had the whole day to pack and repack and pack again, which we’ve done in both Pennsylvania and Jersey. My parents will be driving us through some of the best country side New Jersey has to offer via the NJ Turnpike in our quest to the jewl which is JFK International. Then it begins.
10 hours to Anchorage, Alaska; 1.5 hours on the ground refueling.
11 or so hours to Taipei, Taiwan; 3.5 hours on the ground avoiding xenophobia.
5.5 hours to the heat and humidity of Kuala Lumpur
Then finally a 38 minute train ride to KL Sentral arriving at our final destination on Thursday March 2nd 2:00pm….Starbucks. Oh well, it could have been worse: It could have been McDonalds.
We’re bringing alot of entertainment on-board with us for these 20 some odd hours of flight including Risk, the game of global domination which should polish off a solid 6 hours of air time. The next post will be from an airport. Till then.
