Akureyri, Iceland (Post #10)

Today we took a 45 minute flight to Akureyri, Iceland which is a town in the north. We went to our usual bakery in Reykjavik this morning where Michele can get 3 cups of coffee for 100 ISK ($1.70) – which is a steal here.

Iceland is quite expensive, which is one reason we are only staying here for a week. For example, we had a hamburgers and french fries last night for about $20, internet usage is $10/hour, a city bus ride is $3 each ride, and a moderate dinner cost us $80. Here is a picture of our new found friend from the bakery we went to 3 mornings in a row.

We will write more later after taking a bus to Myvatn where we will see Dimmu Borgir (lava formation) and some other geological sites.
