Final countdown and i´m off

And there I am at 6 hours before my flight leaves and I still have to transport myself over to MIA airport 130 miles away…printing out address label etc. Always have worked better under a deadline looming. With my nice orange rental car I zipped across alligator alley with any unpleasant encounters and got to Alamo where I promptly waited 45 minutes for a shuttle to the airport almost in sight. Get what you pay for. Jumped on a shiny AA 757 and 5.5 hours laters I touched down in LIM – Lima Peru for you non aviators…I watched the baggage handlers being montired by guards and thought it is a far cry form the day where my Aunt Maura would travel up to see us. She used to bring us tons of jewelry, candy, leather purses, panchos and llama rugs. How she carried it all I do not rememeber because my dad was probably hauling it from the airport! She used to put extra bags of candy at the top so they would steal those because they always took something. Anyway, I am staying at a decent hotel and going to get some sleep! the adventure has begun…stay tuned…

Leg 1 is posted on Erin’s office door at work. Google Earth is da best. When people come by to wonder where she is, there’s an “Erin is roughly, HERE” map. So they might say, “when can I expect my DFDR report?”, and I tell them…. ‘watchoo talkin bout willis?”
Erin would get that if she ever watrched TV….
