More to see in DC
4/1/06
Today was fun but Im going to keep the entry short and to the point as Im a few days behind and want to get this upto date.
So today we were all feeling a little rough and I decided to go for a walk alone to get some fresh air taking in the White House and there was a massive close down of all the streets when I got there and a massive amount of police and secret service
cars left with Im guessing the president in, the police I spoke with would not tell me. Then headed down to Capital Hill
and the Mall before heading back to the hotel to meet up with everyone.
That evening Nick and I went to see an NHL game at the MCI stadium to see an Ice hockey game between the Washington Capitals and the Ottowa Senators.
It was an experience but unfortunately the home team lost 2 – 1 so the crowd was a little flat.
That evening there was also a big American football game on the whole country appeared to be talking about, even Cathy was excited and didn’t want to miss it. It was USC (university of southern California) Vs Texas. Nick and I met the girls at Hooters, which is a pretty famous bar over here, well famous for its chicken wings and the fact that the girls who work there wear very little. USC where the favorites by quite away and the game went backwards and forward with Texas winning with 7 seconds to go, what a great night.
