I have scooted across Honduras to be closer to the mountains and the western side of this beautiful country. Along the way I have encountered some very interesting things...

beautiful women, hidden waterfalls, dead bodies, and towns that are booming thanks to NGO monies.

I am staying at La Manzana Verde... an amazing hostel. I love it here... this town has a great feel about it.

My visit to the Copan ruins was one of sheer luck and great meetings.

I have not added anything here from my last month of adventures! I left Xela the first week of December and did a grand tour of the country.

The finite details will be lacking in this entry but the general gist and tips will be quite clear for anyone and everyone to enjoy.

I just arrived at Lago de Atitlan on Saturday and stayed at La Casa del Mundo on Saturday..... how can tomorrow be Saturday again?

It must be because this place is like a time warp. There is no use in wearing a watch and one day runs into another with such ease.

I really have found heaven! It is a large body of water surrounded by miraculous places. I have stayed in two places that are works of wonder and have inspired me greatly to gather info for my own hostel. I went so far as to buy a little notebook to keep notes in and the pages are filling fast!

It is December 2nd already! That means that in 2 days I will have been in Guatemala for an entire month already.

Things are going good... great family...good food...fantastic climbs..... what to do next. I´ll tell you what!

Before coming to Guatemala I had decided that I wanted to climb the highest point in Central America. The hike, with Quetzaltrekkers, was a fantastic one with great views, lots of sweat, and a great group of people.

I could have the spelling all wrong but if you look in a guide book the pyschedelic church is what will bring you here!

This place is a fun road side stop. Since the Georginas Fuentes were hot springs that are not hot the school decided take us to a place where some REALLY hot water could be enjoyed.

We were not disappointed....

Joan, Mary Jane, and I decide that it is time to get out of town for a bit. We decide to take a bus ride to Chichi.

Our luck this day was definitely bueno.
