Of course, the first question that needs to be answered is....Where are we going??
There was a lot of discussion about this trip and where we should go. When we initially started the planning we had over 10 countries and many more cities. We narrowed the filed to the list of "must do places" and let the details of connecting flights and pricing fill in the rest. Here's a map of our itinerary (we're traveling west)
- 12/23/04 (late in the evening) Departing from San Francisco, CA USA
- Cairns and Sydney Australia
- Wellington, Christchurch and Auckland New Zealand
- Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
- Bangkok and Chiang Mai Thailand
- Hong Kong, China
- Johannesburg, South Africa
- Rio, Brazil
- 2/1/05 - Back home to San Francisco, CA
