Kuala Lumpur

We were only there for one day so we chose to do a full day tour of the country and city. I really enjoyed KL and hope to return again in 2006!

Here are our pictures....

The Selangor Pewter Factory - Their factory store had their world renouned pewter items at steal prices. We purchased a few things and had them shipped home. On our next trip, I'll bring an empty suitcase just for the pewter!

Rubber Tree - I had no idea that rubber came from trees! This is a major export of Malaysia.

The Batu Caves - 272 stairs to the top - This is a sacred place for Hindus to come. The annual festival was in two weeks. The statue is of a Hindu god and was built in preparation for the event. They will not get it painted in time, but it will be built for the people to worship.
