Rick and I have been together for almost 6 years and during this time we've traveled to many places and have had amazing experiences. On our first trip together we talked about Rick's long time dream to take time off to travel the world and decided we'd do it together someday. Now that day for our first RTW trip is fast approaching!!!!

Initially we thought we'd take 4-6 months off, but then we got married, bought a house and decided that two shorter trips would be more financially feasible. Early 2004 we started kicking around the idea of traveling around christmas time, but when I took a new job we decided to put it off. During the middle of October, we decided we really needed to take the trip this year since next December is looking busy already. Thankfully, my new boss said it was no problem. He was very encouraging and excited for us. (WHEW!!!)

Then it was scramble time to plan this trip and get flights with such relatively short notices - especially since we're flying during peak season. Just about everything has fallen into place and we're preparing to embark on our first, of hopefully two adventures around the world.
