June 30, 2004Da svidanya!
Just a quick entry, as this is my last full day in Saint Petersburg. :( Have had such a wonderful, amazing time! Visited the Engineer's Castle today and bought a book of Anna's poems in Russian and said my farewells to my favorite places. On Sunday night watched them raise/lower the bridges with Erica, a woman from Hong Kong who works in IT and has been in Kansas & D.C. most recently. It has been rainy again this week, so I have been having a relaxing last couple of days, doing a LOT of writing and editing some of the poems I've already written. I am flying back to Warsawa tomorrow afternoon and spending the night there, then I'm on to Krakow and Prague (I think). Still considering Budapest. Will keep you updated as I know more... Comments
So Beth...is there a snippet of a poem you can share yet?! Allll right...I'll be patient. ;-) Lot's of drama here on the home front, and my own personal...laughable...foray into humiliation...but more on that later. Think "camera phone". Eeek. Posted by: Gina on June 30, 2004 09:23 PMCan't wait to hear about more of your adventures into some uncharted territory! Looking forward to it! As for Gina's supposed "humilition"...I thought the pics were very classy and tasteful! :) Posted by: brandy on July 1, 2004 04:11 AM |
