June 09, 2004Relaxing for the Last time
Since I've already done the most of the touristy stuff in London on a previous trip here, I'm now trying to relax for that last few days before I fly off to Nairobi. Today Karen and I went down to Covent Garden in Central London where she went shopping for hiking boots and I had a drink with Lynnea, the older of the two girls I used to babysit back in Farmington Hills. After that we went shopping so that she could find clothes to party in tonight. Funny thing, it has been really hot here, probably close to the 90's and NO ONE around here wears shorts. Guess it's not cool. Its either capris, skirts or pants. Apparantly, only Americans wear shorts and since I was in shorts, I may as well have been wearing an American Flag on my head. So today walking around London, I was the American in shorts. Oh well... Comments
