San Sebastion, just what I needed
Hola from the heart of Basque country. Please don´t call this Spain because people here are proud to be Basque and it shows! From the moment I set foot in this awesome city I knew I´d stay longer than I intended. The city is on the Bay of Bascay surrounded by lush green mountains. There are numerous little trails that surround Nepolean´s fort, all leading to breathtaking views of the ocean. I love this place. Rooms are cheap, the tinto (red spainsh wine), flows like water and the tapas are amazing. Another thing that is great about San Sebastion is the people, I don´t feel like a complete asshole here, like in France for only being able to speak a wee bit of Spainsh. Everyone has been totally friendly. The penione I am staying at has a wonderfully doting lady named Kati acting as house mother. We have a terrace that looks down on the narrow street below, and I have already adopted a slew of Aussie´s as homies. I will be leaving for Granada on Saturday. Almost a whole week in paradise! Yay!
pictures soon….
