January 04, 2006Intermission...
Altogether we spent three weeks on hiatus from our travels, some of that time in Vancouver but most of it in Ontario during the deep freeze of a Central Canadian winter. The required work was completed in less time than expected and we restart our adventures on January 5. We spent Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, and all days between in a cold office somewhere near The Middle of Nowhere but we are fortunate to have many kind friends who fed us delicious home-cooked meals in the evenings. At some point we learned that the terms of our around-the-world flight do not allow us to miss any legs of our journey so we must make the long trip back to South East Asia to pick up where we left off in Kuala Lumpur. The one advantage of this is that we will not miss the Philippines or Japan. After a very busy few weeks during which we have both been sick, we are looking forward to spending some time relaxing on the beach. Photos:
