Day 26

I am here in Vienna and it is cold, it is rainy, and I have felt like crap for the past few days. Being sick stinks.... especially because there is no bed to go lay down in and no body to take care of you. I've been up and at them despite my sickness, there is too much to see to stay in bed.... I simply made sure to visit the Apotheke (Pharmacy) and pick up some vitamin C.
I went to the Opera last night at the Vienna State Opera House. We got in line around 4:45 pm, waited until 6 pm to buy tickets, and finally the show started at 8:00. It was standing room only, at the top of the opera house, with all the hot air rising and an old lady with too much perfume standing right in front of me...... but it was AMAZING! Richard Strausse's "Daphe".... a mythological tale of a girl that the Sun God Apollo falls in love with. He ends up killing her real lover and then at Daphe's despair over this, turns her into a fig tree. It was beautiful!
The past few days have been major sightseeing days. The Haus der Musik (House of Music) where I saw Beethoven's piano (wow!) and spent hours in the interactive brain opera exhibit composing my own music using my own senses. Truly amazing. Yesterday was the Kunst exhibit... an art museum that was more than just art. The architecture was art and the floors were all wavy and uneven as to mimik more of a balance with harmony or something. It's too amazing here. I will not see everything, I will be off to Bratslava, Slovakia or maybe straight to Budapest tomorrow or the next day.
Sorry about not being able to reply to e-mails. Internet is expensive and I am too busy. I will all in good time.
