December 13, 2004Bora Bora Blogging
Well, we're here in Bora Bora, on day 9 of our cruise. It's been awesome...the South Pacific is definitely something that must be seen if at all possible. After all the pain trying to sort out the travel arrangements, and the nearly 35 hours of flying for me, and 20 or so for the Mrs., it was all worth it. Princess has outdone themselves on the Tahitian Princess...excellent service, superb food, an elegant yet fun ship, and of course the best part, location, location, location. We've been so far from Tahiti, to Mo'orea, thru the Tuamoto Atolls, to the Marquesas, to Rangiroa, to Raritea, and now, Bora Bora. Tomorrow morning, unfortunately, we arrive back in Papeete, and disembark. We've got the earliest flight out, 9:35 or so, which gets us back to LA in the evening. Then, the next day, we fly back to Japan. That's gonna be a long flight. The colors around here just explode. The first night, we went on a sunset catamaran cruise (above pic) around the lagoon in Tahiti, just outside of the Beachcomber Intercontinental Resort. As the sun went down, the air itself seemed to be on fire, the colors were that intense. Absolutely beautiful and amazing. We'll blog more in the coming days...Melody has to go back to work, and that will give me some time to try to catch up and post some pictures. Unfortunately, the systems here don't allow for any input. Oh well... Stay tuned.
