Festival
The biggest day is apparently today with some streets blocked off & others nearly impassible but the whole city having a grand party & they really love their fire crackers. However some are still working as I managed to submit my visa application for Tibet & China, arrange a 3 day Jungle Lodge trip for tomorrow + get a guest house room near the departure point for the last Kathmandu – Lhasa trip of the year. So all is well here in Kathmandu.
Not sure when I will be updating again as the trek to Lhasa doesn’t likely pass to many internet café’s & not sure what access in China is like?
Will post when possible as time allows.

Awesome indeed, I am going to Nepal & Tibet (among many other places around Asia) next spring, so this is a great preview. Are you going to take the new Bombardier Lhasa Express train from Lhasa to Beijing? How are you enjoying the variety of food in Korea, Japan, India, now Nepal? Staying conservative/safe or are you freely trying new things?

Perhaps they were having the party as a result of your arrival Dave?????
Hi Radster - nice hearing from you…I guess you are rarely on TA????

Will be traveling on the Bombardier train from Lhasa, after all my tax dollars went to bail Bombardier out so might as well at least ride the train!
Eat what the people eat & refuse to support the blight of MacDonalds all over the world but do have the odd Coca Cola, even had one in a real glass bottle last night.
