October 01, 2004PHOTOS!
FINALLY, I've got almost all of my photos online. Not all of them have captions and stuff, but they're there! Enjoy. My friend Jessica from San Francisco arrived on Wednesday; she's staying with me at my homestay right now and we're having a great time. We're leaving tomorrow for a weekend trip to the little towns of Ollaytantambo and Pisac, each home to some great Incan ruins and there's a big market in Pisac on Sunday. Monday we move from the family's house to a hostal closer to the center of town, and very early on Wednesday morning we leave for the 4-day hike to Machu Picchu on the Inca Trail! We've got a lot to do before we go (buy rain pants, pray for no more rain, buy snacks, pack, etc.) but I'll try to post an entry about the past week (and the weekend trip) before we go. The short version? My Spanish classes were excellent this week, I went to a few great museums, bought a few souvenirs, and stayed out way too late drinking and dancing on Wednesday night. It was a great week! Comments
