July 24, 2004My Bio
I'm more or less from the East Coast, but I've been living in California, most recently in San Francisco, for the past seven years. I just turned 29 years old. Editing guidebooks for the last few years has only fueled my desire to travel for an extended period of time. So after much dreaming, planning, and saving, I'm finally heading off on a trip around the world. Although I wasn't originally planning to go alone, I'm excited about the opportunity to do it solo (but I do plan to have a few friends and family come meet up with me along the way). I've done a fair amount of traveling, but never alone (except for work), and never for longer than three weeks. I hope to be gone 8 to 10 months, or until the money runs out. What better way to spend the last year of my 20s? |
